PRESS RELEASE: Warmzone Featured on HGTV’s Indoors Out
June 17, 2008 — Building an outdoor parlor in cold Washington, DC may sound like a questionable idea to those familiar
with the region's frigid winter climate, but that’s exactly what HGTV professionals, Dean and Derek, set out to do on their cable
television program, Indoors Out. To keep the outdoor parlor free from snow and ice year-round,
HGTV contacted Warmzone for a
solution.
The house Dean and Derek remodeled belonged to the Edwards family. The home is occupied by three "20-something" professionals:
Dana, Mark and Chris. The three siblings needed a better place to entertain clients year-round for their family’s chocolate business.
That’s when Warmzone and Indoors Out stepped in to help.
Outdoor home improvement has become a popular trend in recent years, especially for home owners with limited square
footage within the home. Outdoor spaces can easily be turned into comfortable living spaces for the whole family to enjoy.
Indoors Out took a bland deck and brick yard and turned it into a stylish winterized parlor with some quick as easy changes.
Warmzone donated Danfoss GX snow melting cables to the project to keep the parlor free of snow and ice, thereby eliminating
the need for manual snow removal. The Danfoss GX cable’s sturdy design made it the perfect choice for heating the new layer of
stone pavers installed by Indoors Out. The parlor was completed with a stylish set of outdoor furniture and beautiful wall-mount
heaters. The heaters combined with the heated surface by Warmzone made a comfortable, snow-free environment for use year-round.
Danfoss GX heating cables are extremely durable and can be used to melt snow and ice beneath a variety of surfaces,
including asphalt, concrete and brick pavers. With the use of automatic sensors, the snowmelt system is completely automated,
turning on only when it senses precipitation and temperatures are below a set point. A snowmelt system is a much needed feature
for anyone planning on adding an outdoor living space in a cold weather location.
Warmzone has a knowledgeable staff to help you get started, and a network of installers across the country that can build
you a winterized parlor in your outdoor space. Warmzone specializes in electric radiant heating systems for both outdoor and
indoor applications that can be easily installed beneath all types of flooring and building products.
