Each snow melting system (zone) can heat up to 280 square feet and requires a 220/240 V. 30 amp breaker. They can be manually or automatically operated.

Heat cable snow melting systems are low-voltage, electric cable heating systems that can be installed in and under almost any type of driveway, sidewalk, or walkway.

The heat cable is embedded in the sand when being installed under pavers, but is installed directly in the concrete for concrete surfaces.
