Q: What types of heating cables do your carry?

A: Warmzone carries a large variety of both low- and line-voltage heating cables that will work with
almost every application and project, including floor heating,
radiant space heating, driveway
heating, and ice melting on roofs and in gutters.
(More info about
Interior Radiant Heat and
Snow Melting cables.)
Q: What is the difference between low- and line-voltage heating cables?

A: The main difference between low and line voltage cables is in how the heating cables are
controlled. Low-voltage cables require a control box
and transformer, whereas line-voltage cables
only require a thermostat. Low-voltage cables are not safer once embedded in a medium, and
operational
costs are not any less expensive. Line-voltage cables tend to be less expensive per
square foot when heating smaller areas.

Q: Can your heating cables be installed in the thinset?

A: ComfortTile heating cables can be installed in the thinset, whereas the
In-Slab cables need to
be embedded in at least 1/2" of concrete or mortar.

A: Warmzone has a network of independent installers that can assist you with your installation.
However, all of our systems come with complete installation manuals and can be installed by any electrician, contractor, or experienced "do-it-yourselfer." An electrician is needed to supply you with the necessary power and to hook up power to your system.

A: Warmzone provides
detailed layouts for most systems at the price of $0.35 per square foot.
