InfloorBoard Hydronic Heating Systems
Why Use
InfloorBoard over Other Hydronic Floor Heating
Systems
Traditional radiant floor heating systems in
concrete work well, but they must first
charge a large thermal mass before heat will begin
radiating out of the panel. Many of these systems
accelerate and decelerate slowly due to the
large thermal mass, and they can be
difficult to control. InfloorBoard, being thin but
relatively dense and aided by its conductive
aluminum layer, responds very rapidly. This
results in greatly improved response time with
almost no overheating since there is almost
no “thermal lag” to overcome.
InfloorBoard can be controlled with standard
setback thermostats.
The layer of aluminum on InfloorBoard and in
the groove significantly enhances the
transfer and evenness of heat distribution of the
board. Aluminum is approximately 1000 times
more conductive than wood. Acceleration is a
measure of how fast a radiant heating system
responds. The thin profile and relatively high
density contributes to its superior
acceleration and deceleration, providing heated
floors quickly and efficiently.

The Advantages of the InfloorBoard Hydronic
Floor Heating System
*
InfloorBoard uses the
latest technology in underfloor,
hydronic (hot water)
heating.
*
InfloorBoard hydronic
floor heating is more efficient, more
responsive, and compatible with standard
construction practices. It
is ideal for new construction and
remodeling alike, offering a
low profile, light weight, and rapid
response.
*
InfloorBoard delivers a
genuine advance in the best hydronic
floor heating system you can buy.
*
InfloorBoard's thin
profile makes it excellent for
retrofits.
*
InfloorBoard is excellent
for small projects, whereas cement and
gypsum are impractical and expensive in
the same circumstances.
*
Many jobs are lost due to
resistance to pouring slabs or thin
slabs that would not be lost with
InfloorBoard.
*
InfloorBoard hydronic
floor heating systems can be installed
in cold weather without
fear of freezing.
*
Double plating adds about
18 cents a square foot to the cost of a
home and is needed with thin slab pours.
*
Many floor heating jobs
are lost due to the perception of slow
response times of cement systems.
InfloorBoard accelerates
rapidly and is appropriate for control
with a simple setback
thermostat or can be remotely controlled
for weekend use.
*
Scheduling of InfloorBoard
can be more closely controlled; no
trucks to wait for!
*
InfloorBoard can go in
later in a project, thus reducing time
that piping is exposed to damage.
*
InfloorBoard is more
cost-effective.
*
Pipe is not run under
walls with InfloorBoard.
*
InfloorBoard is easily
utilized in floor retrofits and home
remodeling projects.
*
InfloorBoard is easier to
cut and custom routing is easier than
with WarmBoard.
