Heating cable is laid down prior to the
concrete pour. (ClearZone
cable is available in pre-woven
mats, pictured above, facilitating easy
installation.) The durable cable
can be installed in concrete, asphalt,
mortar bed, pavers, or thinset.

The master control unit heats the element
underneath the concrete, which
distributes heat evenly to the surrounding
medium, effectively melting snow
and ice. |

An activation device (such as the pavement
mounted snow sensor above)
automatically activates the snow
melting system when it senses
moisture and cold temperatures.

ClearZone Snow Melting Systems Include:
ClearZone Radiant Heating Cable
Warmzone's ClearZone
radiant heat system uses a high quality
and very durable cable
that can withstand nature's worst
conditions and
installation in hot asphalt. The
ClearZone cable is UL listed
and consists of a twin conductor with
FEP/XLPE insulation,
polyolefin jacketing (providing
flexibility and UV protection).
The cable is rated at 220° F and
has a minimum 10-year warranty.
ClearZone radiant heat
cable is designed to
produce 30-50 watts per square foot and
has the quickest response
time of any snow melting system on the
market. The ClearZone
heating cable is installed in concrete,
asphalt, or under pavers.

ClearZone Radiant Heating Mats
The ClearZone
radiant snow melting mat is
among the most effective and
easy-to-install radiant heat
solutions available. The durable heating
mat comes with ClearZone
radiant heat cable that is prespaced and
can be rolled out like a
mat, ensuring proper cable spacing while
simplifying the
installation process.
Designed specifically for
heated
driveway systems and walkways,
the durable ClearZone radiant heating
mat is an ideal solution for
virtually any rigorous outdoor
snowmelt application, making it
extremely popular among home
owners and contractors alike.

Snow Sensor Activation Device
ClearZone
radiant heat systems come standard with
an
aerial-mounted snow sensor
switch. This sophisticated device
automatically activates the ClearZone snowmelt
system when it detects
precipitation and temperatures are below
39°
F. Smart system compatible, the
sensor has several other notable
features, including adjustable
temperature trigger point, adjustable
delay off cycle, and
upgradeable remote activation.
The
pavement-mounted
snow switch
is available for all snowmelt
systems but is typically
used in commercial applications. The
Warmzone ClearZone systems
are 100 percent automated. The 4-hour
timer on the control unit
acts as a manual backup in case the wind
blows snow on the driveway
or ice forms due to wind or shade.

Warmzone Snowmelt Control Unit
The Warmzone snowmelt
control units are NEMA 1, wall-mounted
control panels. The approximate size of
the control unit is only
6x3.5 inches. It is even possible to
control the controller from
an external signal (day/week timer,
GSM-module or other signal
source). The compact Warmzone control
unit can be switched on/off
(standby) and the heating system can be
forced on in case the wind
blows snow on the driveway or ice forms
due to wind or shade.
Despite the
control unit's advanced
technology, compact size and ease of
use, it also represents a
breakthrough in that the unit is
significantly cheaper than most
other industry controllers. The Warmzone
master control unit offers
a maintenance-free, UL listed snowmelt
system for residential and
commercial business owners. The control
unit features manual
override capability and
energy-efficient,
under-pavement heating to safely and
effectively provide reliable
snow and ice melting for sidewalks,
driveways and other outdoor
applications.
