HeatShield Floor Heating System

Floor Heating Insulation Panels

Uses: Hardwood, carpet, wood laminate, parquet flooring

Introducing HeatShield Panels, the premier solution for heating under engineered hardwood and laminate flooring. With HeatShield Panels there's no need to embed the heating cables in a mud base. Simply lay the insulation panels on the existing floor and connect them with the plastic clips provided. Then press the heating cable into the grooves provided in the panels and install the wooden laminate floor directly on top. Make sure to have a licensed, qualified electrician wire the system and connect the thermostat. Then turn on the heat and enjoy the comfort of a radiant heated floor.

The HeatShield floor insulation panels consist of a ½-inch thick polystyrene insulation covered with a thin, specially profiled aluminum. The floor heating panel's design ensures excellent downward insulation and optimum upward heat distribution that significantly reduces energy consumption. The panels clip together and then ComfortTile heat cable is used to complete the system. Having the pre-made grooves in the panel makes for quick installation and accurate cable spacing.

HeatShield Panels are lightweight and easy to install. When combined with CT heat cable the floor heating system is so efficient that you typically only have to run your floor heating system for a short period of time, which further saves you money.

FloorHeat Radiant Floor Heating

Self-Regulating, Low Voltage Floor Heating

Uses: Hardwood, carpet, wood laminate, parquet flooring

FloorHeat is a unique heating element because it can be installed directly under any material. While the system is popular for heating hardwood floors, it is also used as a trusted roof deicing system. No other radiant heating element can match the unique characteristics of FloorHeat STEP.

The radiant heating system utilizes a self-regulating semi-conductive polyethylene heating element (available in rolls 9 or 12-inches wide), that is ideal for new construction as well as remodeling floor heating applications. Warmzone FloorHeat is installed directly under various types of floors. When used to heat tile floors, the thin heating elment is laid out over the subfloor and thinset is applied directly over the top. The benefit of using FloorHeat for remodel/retrofit floor heating projects is that no additional floor buildup is required because the polymer heating element is so thin.

FloorHeat is a safe low-voltage product for practically any application, so it can be safely nailed through (which is especially convenient for roof heating applications), without damaging the heating element. (However, do not nail through the bus braids that run along the sides of the heating element.) The advanced heating element is also durable and versatile enough that it is installed under shingle and metal roofs for radiant roof deicing applications.
